SOO VAN was operated as a sole proprietorship until 1994, when 5 employees purchased the company newly re-organized as 1022169 Ontario Limited. The new owners brought their expertise in Management, Sales, Dispatch, Accounting, and Warehousing, to the business of moving and storage. Every facet is monitored by staff, who have a vested interest in maintaining and improving the quality and care in which every relocation is conducted.

In 1995, SOO VAN moved into its own building and terminal at 165 INDUSTRIAL PARK CRES., SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO. One block from the TransCanada Highway 17, it is easily accessed by the UNITED fleet of vans operating coast to coast. Our warehouse and terminal are inspected and approved by the GOVERNMENT OF CANADA, for the movement and storage of their employees relocating to, or moving from Central Ontario.

Our warehouse is bonded, and as the ONLY crossing point along 1500 miles of UNITED STATES/CANADA boundary, we regularly deal with "SHIPMENTS IN BOND". Canada Customs visit our warehouse twice daily, at 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday. Bonded shipments should be at our warehouse at 8am and 12 noon, to ensure clearances are completed prior to Customs visitations.
